USA North-East
In the northeastern United States, autumn transforms the landscape day by day. Maple leaves turn crimson, birches glow yellow, and evergreen forests lend depth to hillsides alive with color. Lakes and rivers carry these changes into reflections, while morning mist softens the boundary between water, woodland, and sky.
During foliage season, I am drawn to the way light reveals this brief transformation: a luminous tree beneath an overcast sky, fallen leaves gathering along a stream, or a distant shore slowly emerging from the fog. Each place offers a different expression of autumn, from its brightest colors to the quiet signs of a season nearing its end.
A quiet road disappears beneath a canopy of gold, its surface scattered with the leaves of a changing season. In the northeastern United States, autumn can turn a simple passage through the forest into an invitation to linger. I am drawn to this meeting of color and stillness, where each step reveals both the season’s abundance and the traces of its passing.
